Safety first for FALL harvest celebrations.
Oct 29, 2024
According to guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) a few simple steps can help ensure a safe celebration for the little ones. First, opt for costumes that fit well to prevent trips and falls and opt for flame resistant materials. Bright colors and reflective tape are great for enhancing visibility. Masks can limit vision, so consider using non-toxic face paint instead. If children are carrying props, make sure they are flexible and not sharp. Remind kids to stay on sidewalks, cross streeets at designated crosswalks and for younger ones, ensure an adult is supervising. Finally, inspect all candy before eating and remove any treats that look tampered with. Enjoy a safe and festive harvest season!
